How to carve a duck
Posted on February 15th, 2008 by wokfusion under Cooking TipsSo, you’ve cooked your duck, and all that’s left is to serve it. Well, you’re going to need some carving techniques if you want to serve a duck the right way. Follow these duck carving steps, and you’ll be carving like a pro in no time:
- 1. Place the cooked duck on its back on a chopping board. Pull the wings away from the body and cut through the joint next to the bird.
- Pull the legs away from the duck and cut out the leg out of the bird by cutting down and under the duck.
- Once the wings and legs have been removed, carve the duck in whatever manner you want. The easiest is to take hold of the entire bird and cut at an angle to make thick or thin slices.

It’s strange to see how many different blogs there are about this subject. It’s awesome to stumbled upon the one that provides a lot of valuable stuff if this ever comes up for me another time.
